Glenn Kho is a centrist Republican politician and the current United States Senator for North Carolina (Class 3). He is currently the Republican State party Treasurer.

Past Positions[]

Party Positions[]
Congressional Positions[]
  • Senate Majority Whip (under the GOP)
  • President Pro Tempore (under Forward Party)
  • Senator for South Carolina and Pennsylvania
Cabinet Positions[]
  • Secretary of Health and Human Services (under supercid87 administration)
  • Secretary of Veteran Affairs (under Amber Altaha administration)
  • Secretary of Defense in the Herschel Walker administration (first Forward Party President)

Stances on Certain topics[]

Weapons[]

He believes that universal background checks should be implemented nation-wide and there should be some restriction to automatic weapons as he believes that automatic weaponry is over the top for 'self-defense'.

Abortion[]

Glenn believes that abortion is a woman's choice and should be legal up until the end of the 2nd trimester. Completely banning abortion is not a good idea to him as he believes that in some cases, there are Americans who do not have the financial capabilities to have to care for an additional being and would be unfair for the parent(s) and the child who would be brought into the world if they were not able to afford the needs of the child.

Death Penalty[]

He believes that it should be allowed for cases such as murder, rape, running illegal and violent schemes (e.g. drug/human trafficking rings) and other major capital offences. He believes that if someone infringes on someone else's human right to live, they themselves should have their right to live be taken away as well.

Energy and Climate Change[]

He should attempt to give incentives to companies and research centres to develop renewable and efficient energy to move America and the world away from our dependency on fossil fuels. Glenn also believes there should also be moderate regulations to combat climate change for now such as carbon tax. He has the idea that funds from carbon tax and redirect it to the incentives that can be given to research centres and companies.

LGBTQ+[]

Glenn believes that the LGBTQ+ community should not be discriminated against and they should have the rights to marry whoever they want. On the other hand, Glenn still sees that biologically, there are only 2 sexes (male/female). In terms of sport, he believes that transgender athletes (specifically male who transition to female) should play with assigned sexes as transgender women would have an unfair biological advantage in their sport, he does not see this as discrimination but instead a necessary sacrifice to keep a level playing field.

Economic Policy[]

As for his economic policies, he is flexible as he is able to understand both sides of the political spectrum's economic policy and how they may work theoretically and he is economically centre. He does not have much preference, but usually goes with the argument most well explained.

Bills[]

Sporting Fairness Act[]

The Sporting Fairness Act, sponsored by Senator Glenn Kho, Made transgender athletes play their chosen sport with the assigned sex at birth. He stated that the aim of the bill was not to discriminate against the LGBTQ+ Community but instead to allow fairness within the world of sport. He stated that since it is scientifically proven males are stronger than females on average, it is unfair for transgender females to participate in female sports as they would have a biological advantage. This bill was passed through Congress and signed into law by President Moogs on April 21 2022. This is the first bill Senator Kho sponsored which was signed into law.

After another reset, Senator Kho managed to pass the same bill again. It passed the Senate (12-5) and the House (96-44) and signed into law by President James Ernest.

Let the People Drink Act 2022[]

Let the People Drink Act 2022 (LPDA for short) was a bill to lower the drinking age in America from 21 to 18. Senator Kho believed that the drinking age of 21 was outdated as it had been placed during the times of Prohibition in the 1920s and 1930s and had been there for 89 years. He argued that the age group of 18-20 years were responsible enough as this age group was also allowed to: have sex, get married, legally own a gun, vote in local and federal elections and even be enlisted/deployed in the military. This bill passed the Senate with a very wide margin but failed in the House. He attempted to pass it a second time, but failed as well.

Education-Work Transition Act 2022[]

The Education-Work Transition Act 2022 (EWTA for short) was a bill that attempted to reform the education system to allow students to get a better understanding of what work life may be. In the modern day, employees do not have to go through exams given to them by their employer and is usually made to work with access to the internet and co-workers and can be involved in team projects, So Senator Kho wanted to lower the importance of examinations by decreasing the weightage of examinations in order to emphasize on coursework, class projects and other work done in class so students can improve their skills in such work. But this bill was faced with fierce opposition as those opposing EWTA believed it carried the idea of "big government" and it was the federal government usurping power from school boards. Senator Kho attempted to pass this bill twice but both failed in the House.

Democracy is Goated Act 2022[]

The Democracy is Goated Act 2022 (DGA for short) was an attempt by Senator Kho to have a national holiday for voting during elections. The bill aimed to strengthen democracy as he believed "the best thing for democracy is more democracy" and that if more people vote, the better chance that the people of the United States of America can get a government which represents them better as more opinions can be voiced out. This bill had passed both the House and the Senate, with there being a close 12-10 margin in the Senate, but vetoed by the President.

Stop Spending a Fuck-ton of Cash Act[]

This bill aimed at reducing the spending in the Defense budget as it was previously "Double" and Senator Kho passed a bill which will see it maintained instead. It faced little resistance in the Senate but was a close call in the House at 50-49 and 18 abstaining. The bill was then praised by President Johnson Sparks ("Based and signed-pilled" - Johnson Sparks May 27 2022) and signed into law. This is the 2nd bill which Senator Kho sponsored which was signed into law.

Woman's Rights Act 2022[]

Senator Kho, as a supporter of women's rights, attempted to pass a bill which would make abortion legal with no restrictions within the 1st trimester (15 weeks). This was passed in the Senate (13-10) and the House (93-53) but was vetoed by President Chavez.

Environmental Protection Act 2022[]

The EPA 2022 was a bill passed by Senator Kho which stopped government subsidies for Fracking and instead changed the law to "Fracking Allowed with Loose Precautions". He argued that in the name of a free market, the government should not intervene in the economy/market by giving subsidies and would also cut government spending. He personally also believes that the government should not be helping the fossil fuel industry over the renewable/alternative energy industries as it would do much more harm to the environment. The bill passed in the Senate (8-2) and the House (150-3) overwhelmingly, although vetoed by President Tim Ryan, the veto was overridden due to the large majority the bill gained in both chambers of Congress. This is the 3rd bill Senator Kho sponsored which was signed into law.

Productivity Act 2022[]

The Productivity Act 2022 was a bill which aimed to ban pop-up advertisements on the internet. This bill only focused on adverts that popped up and covered a device's screen, meaning that banner ads on the top/side/bottom of websites are still legal and won't face any charges. If a corporation was to be found guilty of violating the Productivity Act 2022, they would face a fine of $100,000. Senator Kho also argued that pop-up advertisements actually decrease productivity in the economy as it distracts workers from their tasks, highlighting that some advertisements do not allow you to skip for a certain time period (this may vary in time, typically for 5-30 seconds). The bill was welcomed in the Senate as it passed with little to no resistance (11-1) but faced some resistance in the House but ultimately still managed to pass (72-57) and was signed into law by President Tim Ryan. This is the 4th bill sponsored by Senator Kho which was signed into law.

Travel Freedom Act 2022[]

The TFA 2022 is a law passed by Senator Kho that revoked the travel ban on Cuba for Americans. He argued that the Government should not restrict American's freedom to travel wherever they want to go. He argued that letting Americans go on holiday to Cuba won't prop up the current communist regime in the country by much. The bill was passed in the Senate (15-8) and the House (122-75) and also signed into law by President Blake Stone. This is the 5th bill sponsored by Senator Kho which was signed into law.

Emission Reduction Act 2022[]

The ERA 2022 was a bill which would have enacted a carbon tax that would increase over time. It followed a similar structure to Singapore's carbon tax policy. The tax would only apply to corporations that emit 25,000 tCO2e (tonnes of CO2 equivalent) or higher. For 2022-2025, the tax rate would be $5.00 per tonne of Greenhouse gas (GHG emissions released. It would then increase for 2026-2030 where it will be at $15.00 per tonne of GHG emissions released. Finally, it would increase a final time from 2030 onwards to be at $25.00 per tonne of GHG emissions released. The revenue collected from the tax would then be converted to "vouchers" for the bottom 50% of Americans for necessities affected by the carbon tax such as petrol/gas, heating, electricity and others. The bill ended up getting support from all sides, with prominent figures from all parties voting for it such as General Soleimani (L), Frank Longobardi (D), Kouhei Atashi (R). It passed the Senate with a safe margin of 16-12, and narrowly passed the House 83-73, but it was ultimately vetoed by President supercid87.

Lincoln Holdings Limited Act 2022[]

The LHL Act 2022 was a bill which would have created a state-owned investment firm (named Lincoln Holdings Limited) which would act as a private firm (as in it pays its taxes and compete with other private-owned firms). This was to create a new form of revenue for the government which in turn could lead to the government being able to lower and/or abolish certain taxes without sacrificing substantial amounts of revenue. It would have created many high-skilled jobs for Americans and indirectly create new jobs through investments in the global economy. Unfortunately the bill was rejected by the Libertarian-majority (as of the time of writing) Senate 5-18. This is relatively surprising as Libertarians are usually for low/no taxes but chose not to do so. LHL was also inspired by Singapore's state-owned investment firm, Temasek Holdings Limited which grew its SGD $354 million to SGD $403 billion in 48 years (a 114307% growth). In the next iteration, Senator Kho managed to pass it 12-4 in the Senate and 83-4 in the House and it was accepted by President Amber Altaha (DS). It was passed again in the next iteration 9-3 in the Senate and 106-21 in the House.

Organ Black Market Reduction Act 2022[]

This bill from Sen. Kho was made in the hope that by allowing the "Next of Kin" of people who have died to decide on whether the person's organs should be donated or not, there would be an increase in legal organ supply which will shorten the wait time as well as decrease the demand for illegal black market organs. This was passed 9-6 and 81-40 in the Senate and the House respectively and passed by the President.
